I did this cake as a thank you to a friend. Yes! I'd finally found out about rolled fondant by the time I made this cake. From then on I almost always made my own fondant. The store bought stuff was expensive and didn't seem to hold on to color as well as my own.

I covered the board with the same 'spotted' fondant to help tie it in to the cake design. Making the cow and grass was the most fun. It was like a tiny sculpture. I loved this project!

:aww: And it's really small! I used a six inch pan for this because it was only for one person. Way easier to transport small cakes let me tell you. :nod:
